About Adrian
Adrian Galliard
Lyrical Tenor
With a voice that moves effortlessly between classical crossover, musical theatre and contemporary repertoire, Adrian is an acclaimed South African tenor, actor and songwriter whose performances combine technical excellence with warmth, humour and compelling storytelling. Equally at home on the concert stage and in the theatre, he has built a reputation for creating unforgettable live experiences that resonate with audiences of all ages.
A graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand's Drama Department, Adrian has appeared in leading musical theatre productions including Annie, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. He continues to refine his craft under internationally respected vocal coach Eugenie Chopin.
In 2020, Adrian and his daughter, Emma-Jean, captured the attention of millions when their performances of The Prayer and Time to Say Goodbye went viral online, earning international media attention and prompting many viewers to mistake them for members of Andrea Bocelli's family. Their debut album, Just Duet, was released in 2021, followed by appearances on television, radio and stages across South Africa and abroad.
Their original theatre productions, Accidentally Viral and Striking a Chord, have enjoyed sold out seasons at leading arts festivals, a successful UK tour, and acclaimed runs at Montecasino's Studio Theatre and Johannesburg's Theatre on the Square. Adrian has also appeared on numerous radio and television programmes, with features spanning South Africa, the United Kingdom and the Americas.
Whether performing as a solo artist or alongside Emma-Jean, Adrian brings authenticity, versatility and a genuine connection with his audience, qualities that continue to establish him as one of South Africa's most distinctive crossover performers.
